Hi i won a bidding war on ebay for a used tamagotchi princess spacy and since its pink and im a boy i would like to paint the outter shell black. Do you recommend useing spray paint if so can i just cover the tama with tape or do i have to disassemble the tamagotchi and paint it that way?

Whats spray paint brand do you recommend?

Covering with tape sounds like a plausible method aside from the fact that it could make the screen sticky. However, I believe most people take apart their Tamagotchis in order to spraypaint them, in case of a mishap where some of it accidentally gets on the screen. But because of the wires connecting the case, you might have to remove the wires and re-solder them afterwards.

I'm not sure which spray paint brand to use but any spray paint for plastic should be fine.

If you go with the tape idea... Use painters tape or older masking tape. They typically don't leave sticky. I would recommend taking the inners out that way you can get it all and not worry about errors. Then it can dry and you don't have to worry so much about the tama since it will be off. You could always switch the color shell with another. (Another id/id L you like better)
