I started a new save file with a villager under the name "Sonny", and it was to the same town "OWSLA". When Sonny (Skrillex's younger villager clone) had arrived, I noticed two things.
I saw Skrillex's house, but due to me saving outside, I don't know where Skrillex is wandering. Unless since it's the same thing under the same town, the mayor (in this case, Skrillex) isn't able to be read as an NPC, so I don't know if he disappeared.
Another thing is, is when Isabelle saw Sonny and said that she was "Mayor Skrillex's secretary". Does that mean Skrillex is in the game data, but isn't able to be read as an NPC to Sonny as he wanders around as a resident?
I have never done this before, so it's the first time I have done this with two villagers (one is mayor, one is a resident).
UPDATE: Tried it with Mayor Skrillex as the player, Sonny doesn't appear in his tent. What witchcraft is this?!
