This past Sunday night, I popped the box and fired up the new Tamagotchi Friends that I bought last week. I bought the game when I was shopping for the baby shower gift for my friend, and knew that I had to wait until after the shower itself, or esle I'd never pay a lick of attention at the party! The ribbon I used as my lanyard is actually silk ribbon the mom-to-be gave me while we were helping her get organized after the shower. ^_^

I named her Aimee, and she evolved through Petithanatchi and Neotchi and became Coffretchi.

As of right now, I plan on simply collecting points and jewlery to unlock the game, and not trying to strategize the evolution I achieve until I have a few generations under my belt. I know i can keep myself from getting repeat adult sprites without too much effort for a little while (at least 3gen, and that's if all my eggs hatch female.) I have yet to decide if I want to buy myself a second egg, since I don't have any friends who are rushing off to get one themselves. I might be able to talk a couple of them into it, but if not, I'll need some way to get the BFF points!

I've decided to focus on not only collecting enough jewlery to unlock the next game, but also to have myself all set up to work on obtaining the Gourmet characters for at least the next one generation, if not more. Having hatched Aimee from the heart egg, it stands to reason that I have two girls to look forward to in the next generations, and that makes me want to try for Pianitchi and Tropicatchi next. (Even though she's a 'poor care' character, I think Tropicatchi is incredibly adorable!) I think I should save Tropicatchi for third generation, since I think it will be easier to focus on personality first, then deliberate care mistakes along with personality later. I'll cal her Citrine, if everything goes according to plan. We have been stocking up on our meals, only eating one or two of each item so that we can save the last portion to share with someone else a little later!

Aimee and I went to the casino this weeked with my mother and her two older sisters, the Aunts I've always been closest to in my childhood and adult life. She and I got a huge kick out of some of the silly slot machines that are out there. "Lobsters Dancing Nightly" Is a thing that exists in this world, and we are both elated to know that. Every time I migrated back there to laugh at the silly animations on the 'ding, I take your money' machine, Aimee would call me just to show off to me, or dance with the bunny to let me know she was as excited by the silliness as i was. I got enough money to buy myself a lovely new leather jacket from the outlet mall that was right near our hotel, but SHE made much more than I; it was enough to buy 10 new pieces of fancy Jewlery! Aimee is a glittery, bedazzled princess!

With any luck, I'll be able to find enough time tomorrow to help her earn enough to finish unlocking the first bonus game. We both find the dreamtown a little trying, as it was probably made to grab the attention of people 20 years my junior. 0_o I dount I'll be able to take the time there to reap any more rewards. Despite that, the fortune teller has been a HUGE help, gifting many of the bracelets and necklaces that Aimee loves so much, and a few great meals/snacks along the way!

---aside from log---

Yay, I love logs about Tamagotchi Friends! That photo is really nice. :)
Thanks! My camera is petulant and has a mind of its own, but I try really hard to make the images the best they can be. <3 It means a lot when someone notices, since almost everyone has better cameras on their smartphones than I do on my old flipper.

I'm excited about TF b/c I have had the origonal and the connection V1, but I haven't had any of the tamagotchis that are more complex (and color... blew my mind when I learned it even existed a week and a half ago.) I love the nostalgic feel of fewer options, bells and whistles while I re-obsess myself with the fandom I lost track of for a few years. ^_~

While there, her heart was stolen by Mametchi! Love at first sight!

Happily married now, they have their child...

It's a GIRL!

I got impatient, and decided that it was mean to make Aimee wait to find her love, especially when I kept botching up and buying doubles of the jewlry pieces at the store. I'm only 2 away from unlocking the first game, so it won't be too hard to get that when Betia gets old enough to play games herself!

Due to some conflict in the sources I've read, I realize I'm not sure of a couple of points in developing my little Betia's personality. I know I want her to be a gourmet, which is according to some instructions 15 meals while others say 20. Also, to avoid her becoming active instead, I BELIEVE I'm just supposed to keep her from making it to the win screen in the games. Playing them w/o completig them shouldn't count towards personality. Just to be certain, I plan on tracking at the end of her log summary {GAMES: (played)/(won)}

Due to impatience, and a post I found about Snacks counting towards the gourmet personality I just went a little nuts and fed Betia about 20 snacks. I lost count, but I know that her meals and snacks combined DEFINITELY exceed 20 right now. Also, she got hefty. ^_^ 0_0

Omg I have the same tamagotchi friends as you! Blue with silver gem hahaha :) My first gen was a female too...........

I did it! While Betia was sleeping tonight, she evolved into pianitchi!

I took a picture of her sleeping, because I'm a creepy Tama Mama. ^_~

Pianitchi being happy. ^_^

Trying to figure out if I want to get my other perfect care characters first or not. I'm still leaning towards a tropicatchi for my third generation. I want to see how well I do at getting care misses. Even if I don't succeed in getting a poor care sprite, I will at least get one I haven't yet by aiming for the other end of the spectrum. I just don't want to have my Tama run off before I have a chance to take her to the date place. o_0

No pics of Betia today. At this point, I'm just trying to buy more jewlery and restock 20 unique snacks in my inventory so I can make sure I get a gourmet character as soon as the next lovely lady becomes a teen. Today, we got our first perfect score on Cake Catch together. That makes Find Ice Cream the only one we haven't beaten thus far, with the 5th game still locked. I'm probably never going to have the attention span for the ice cream one. I just lose it after aabout 6 rounds every time.

By this time you may note that I change the infor in the quick-summary at the end almost every time. That's because beyond name, generation, age and weight, I only track things that I am actively working to accumulate at that givin time, and if I decide to take a break to horde my gotchi points, I really feel as though I don't need to remind myself I haven't bought any new Jewlery at that time, or track how much I've fed a character if I don't need to make sure the next will be gourmet or... whatever. If I don't need to know it to start the next gen, I don't feel the need to senselessly track it either. ^ _ ^

On a non TF related note, I just found my first gen. egg, (white with black detail/buttons) still paused and alive. It's a 7 y/o Kuchipatchi character, 26 oz, full discipline. So I guess I'm Tama mom to two again! The response time on the game is a bit slow, so when Kuchi goes back to the tamagotchi planet, I do believe I'm replacing the battery, or possibly just pulling it entirely since I'll have three others going at once by then. Or it could be perfectly normal since everything else is functioning just fine and the screen is appropriately shaded, and maybe I'm just spoiled by the newer games. Dead serious, the tinyness of this thing amazes me! That's what she said!

These are the final stats for Betia, as she just got back from the matchmaker. Imagine my suprise to learn that even thoughh I selected the heart egg to start my game, the third generation is a boy!

I think I'll name him Caleb. I have to figure out which character I want to have him grow into, but I do want to make sure it's NOT a perfect care character, as they seem to be the easiest to achieve. I'm considering going for Spacytchi or Acchitchi, as I find them both awesomesauce. If I go gourmet, I'll be able to track how well I count my care misses.

Also, just as an amusing comparison, Kuchipatchi, the little older brother with the new happy family.

Just a quick update, no picture or overview stats until tomorrow.

So, I'm a little confused with my game right now, because I waited until hearts were empty and the call light was off to even feed my turtlechi, and somehow I got the top care character anyway. So now I just have to make cosmotchi a gourmet character so I can track my care misses diligently and see if I actually get the character I expect...

So, just to see if it I could actually track my care misses this way, I tried having them occur naturally in game. That meant I just kept my hungry/happy hearts staggered, so that one would run out about an hour after the other, giving me plenty of time to ignore the beeping and then stock up the other stat before the next summons. This, plus bedtime misses totaled seven care misses.

In the future, I'm going to have to use the bedtime clock resetting option, because I seem to have tortured poor Caleb for nothing! -_-

Care misses seem REALLY hard to get, because I was so careful about making sure I waited until the beeping stopped and the icon went out, and still it didn't count half of them, at least.

Well, we're about to go play games to work off the extra weight Caleb put on becoming a gourmet, especially now that it's okay for him to be completely happy and fed!

Loving this log!
Thanks! I'm trying to keep track more for me than for entertainment value, hence the inconsistencies, but I'm glad I'm not boring the pants off of the community! The encouragement feels good!

~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆~

I had to pause my p1 kuchipatchi, because I have so little time this past week to keep up with things. I'm determined to run my TF in real time w/o pausing, so I had to make that concession.

Unfortunately, today at work I lost most of the progress I made with Caleb losing his paunch. For the first time in my TF run, I had to administer medicine to a sick adult! He recovered well and I was able to feed him steak to boost his hungry and happy meters enough to keep him healthy. Once I got hoe, I learned that a perfect score (at least while driving, but I can't see other games being different) will fill at least 3 happy hearts. I think I want to keep him until my next day off, so I can dote over the baby and child of the next generation instead of waiting until after work one night and just counting down the hours until bedtime. Tomorrow is generally the slowest night of the week at work and so I should be much better equipped to spend the needed time with him. Hopefully I can work off some of the extra pounds to orrow, instead of just maintaining weight like I did the last 2 busy days.
