iD L and General Tama Questions

Hi,

I don't currently own a tama, but I'm planning on buying an English iD L. I've got a LOT of questions about that tama and other things, so here we go!

1. How do I tell if a tama for sale is English and legit?

2. What is this IRDA thing? Where do I get one?

3. Where do I find tama screen protectors? How do I know what size I need?

4. Crochet cases - any free open-source patterns out there? If not, how would I create a pattern of my own?

5. P's - what does that heart thing do?

6. Noise - how would I put the tama on a setting that mutes it, so it doesn't go off in school?

Just wanted to say, before you post, please surf around the forum because all your answers can be found here, albeit in different sections of the forum.

1. English iD L's packaging is white, whereas Jap versions are coloured. Eg. Yellow iD L = yellow packaging
2. Its an infrared dongle for you to transfer stuff over to your tamagotchi - please surf around the forum more
3. Screen protectors for tamagotchi don't exist. Get a phone screen protector and cut the correct size and paste it.

5. It does not do anything. But that port allows you to connect to pierces. If you don't know what a pierce is, google it.
6. You can off the sound from the options page.
