Can I connect a tamatown tamago to a tamagotchi ID L

No but the Tamago can connect with the Music Star and V5. Colored tamas can only connect with other colored tamas. Hope I helped.

I don't think so. If I'm not wrong, ID-L can connect just with other from ID-L line (princess spacy ver. ecc...) and with TMGC Color+. However there should be guides (both for ID-L and tama-go) on this forum that explain pretty much everything, even about connection

Nope; mostly because Tama-Go is grayscale and iD L has a colour screen. Also, Tama-Go is English while most iD Ls are Japanese (but not even the English iD Ls can connect with Tama-Go).
