Tamagotchi 4U - what does the book mean?

So, I've been playing and exploring with my 4U now. There's still one feature that I don't understand. What does the book icon do/mean? I clicked in and there was only 1 option available but it doesn't do anything. How do I unlock the rest? I don't understand?

Most of the options are for keeping App stuff in there, and friend lists etc

I THINK it goes:

TamaTomo List (Previous characters)

Friend List (another 4u)

Photos with Friends (another 4u)

Download Characters (app)

Seasonal Decorations (app)

I see. So what previous characters does it mean? Is it characters that I previously had or?

It means adult characters you raised before and collected all the TamaTomos for, I believe.

ahhh okay. I'm currently raising Mametchi and am on the last clover. Will see if my next gen will have Mametchi in the book.

One more question: Mametchi has all the skills learned from school but he doesn't have the basic skills up till now. I look at my tamagotchi quite frequently but everytime I see, the poop is always on the floor. He did not request for toilet at all(or maybe it was a miss care) but are they still able to learn the basic skills at adult stage? I'm also looking at it at designated timing so I can catch the cleaning and showering skills but there doesn't seem to be any at all?

Basic skills can only be taught at child stage. It'll call to hoover each day at 6pm and to shower at 7pm. You have to do each twice to get the skill.

It poops every two hours but you have to catch it doing so the first time and then keep track of time.

To get the potty training skill you need to catch each character pooping:

Hiyayatchi 2 times

Pokapokatchi 3 times

Pannakotchi 4 times

Fuyofuyotchi 6 times

And with each skill remember to praise them each time they do something.

Oh no... it can only be taught at child stage? My Mametchi is grown up now... thanks for the info anyway! Very useful!
