Can you change the room design on the new TF Dream Town?

I just purchased a few of the new Tamagotchi Friends Dream Town, and I am trying to figure out the differences between this and prior models.

Are we able to change the room design on this tama?

Also....On the packaging it showed white and black shading on the little square screen sticker of the tama and its room. But the shading on this tama looks like the normal black...Did anyone else find this misleading? I saw it and was all excited thinking that the screen might actually have white shading along with the black and shades of black...nope.

Is there anything else that is different on here than the last version?

Unfortunately there is no way to change the background.

There are actually a lot of disappointing changes made to the TFT, but it's all around an alright tama.

There are shockingly no items (and no shop for anything other than jewelry), no park, and not much customization.

Also the sound quality is...

is just...

it's just great.

So what ARE some things you like about this one then? I've been a fan since the beginning... I love trying to figure out the ins and outs of each version.

I like the characters and cute animations o3o

I like the game selection (especially balloon) a lot!

I like all the different schools you can attend and the music café.

I like the general atmosphere of the tama. I think it's an all around good tama, but its when you start comparing it to other tamas where its weaknesses show.

The Room Design changes for Holidays. Most of April is an Easter one (which I prefer, so keep the date on mine to April), Halloween, Christmas, New Year and your birthday.

Their better than the Wave 1/2 Room Designs IMO.

OOhh! Interesting. Right now mine is a design with a heart print on a rug with plus signs on the walls like twinkles I'm guessing? That's fun that it changes...so technically if I just change the dates around I probably see the different rooms.

Yep! That's the default background, but it'll change for various holidays. I only wish we could change it ourselves, but we'll have to wait until the 2016 color release for that one o3o

I just read that this morning! THAT is awesome. I will definitely be checking in for news on that release.

As for this one...I have no idea what the Yumex is yet, or the Circus, and the Dream School I am guessing you have to be a certain age because when I take my tama there's an adult tama shaking his head no and then my tama gets sad and leaves...

Dream School will 'open' when your a teenager

Yumex TV is to watch two characters put on a concert, and the Circus is just to watch cute animations and sometimes get your fortune told. There are lots of different animations for the Circus C:

Are there any benefits to using the Yumex and Circus? Or just fun to watch???

Also I just noticed some new things in the connecting menu that I don't know what they are...First when I do the BFF bump, all that happens is some jewelry things pop up on screen after the surprise sound...no visiting or playing a game or anything...

As for the other items, Exchange is self explanatory, visit, same....but what is special and Tag Read???
