Features that Tamagotchi Friends Dream Town has but normal Tamagotchi Friends doesn't:

  • You can dine at the cafe instead of just taking the food home. Dining out is where you eat at the cafe and another random character does too.
  • Dream School, accessible when your character is a teen or an adult and has several mini-games. This means the TFDT has a lot more games than the TF.
  • Yumex TV, where you can watch concerts. If you have Yumemitchi/Kiraritchi and the Yume Kira Bag, your characters can put on their own concert.
  • Tama Star Circus, which has lots of different animations of circus performances. You can also get your fortune told, get married here, or get the Yume Kira Bag. It's random though.
  • The Skills determine which character you get. Get a skill by playing the corresponding Dream School game at least 3 times.
  • Unlimited bumping (Normal TF has a limit of 5 bumps per day)
That's all that I can remember. It also has some different characters, and the TFDT doesn't have a park while the normal TF does.

There are also some hardware differences as well. As you can probably tell, there is a gem on the top with the "Tamagotchi Friends" logo on it, and there are various designs and color schemes, but one thing that I find really great is that the screen is much easier to see than the last Tamagotchi Friends, so they have improved quite a bit.
