Name setting in 4U?

Hi everyone! Just started here. :wub:

I ordered the 4U on Ebay the other day and I'm wondering:

when you decide a name, is it for the pet or yourself?

 
On modern versions (such as the Friends and 4U), you can no longer name your pet (as its name will be said in Japanese lettering in its stats screen). You can only enter a username. Hope this helped! Enjoy your new 4U!
