How to pause tamagotchi?

Depends on your version, if you have a colour one then you can't pause it, you can put the tamagotchi on set time set mode tho...

Normally, in the non-colour version, you hold A+B key

 
Vintages you have to go to set the time mode.

Connections 1-4.5 you hold A and B simultaneously.

V5 Familitchi go to the TV icon and select Travel Show then select Go.

V6 Music Star hold A and B simultaneously.
