Tamagotchi friends won't work (even with new batteries)

hello everyone i am new to this website and i have a problem

my tamagotchi friends has stopped working for some reason. i have had it for barely a year now, but when i replaced its batteries with brand new triple A's it wouldnt turn on

if anyone knows how to fix this i would appreciate it very much

Did you make sure you put the batteries in right? (I know it sounds silly, but I've done it before. ) If they're in right then you might want to make sure that your tama's battery compartment hasn't corroded. If it has, just try cleaning it out with a Q-tip and some rubbing alcohol.

Also, did you put them in hard enough? And did you screw on the back good? It has to be really tight,

And make sure to try pressing the reset button when you put the new batteries in.

Try using different types of batteries. I use alkaline AAA Panasonic evoltas

i tried all of those things but it didnt work also my battery compartment has corroded but very slightly can i still use it
