(I'm new to this website as a member, but I have stalked it for a long time and I was actually a member of a different forum dedicated to Tamagotchi's. Just decided to create an account and join the hypetrain and community, maybe?)
I recently bought a Tamagotchi Friends: Dream Town Edition, looking for a newer experience Tamagotchi wise. Up till now it's been pretty fun, and I can't say I don't like it.
I've been playing Tamagotchi's since v.2. Sadly I lost several versions, though I still own my v.5 and my v.6, alongside a Tama-Go. Currently I'm only running my Dream Town, and I really enjoy the fact it has newer characters and is a more thorough experience than the Tama-Go.
As you can see, I do not own a colored Tamagotchi, and I've been meaning to get into one, since I am truly enamored with these small gadgets. However, there's several different versions and I'm unsure which would give the most bang for the buck, since they tend to be rather expensive. I know of the iD series, the P's and the 4U's, and have been researching in these same forums similar topics, but I figured joining and asking myself would be a smarter decision.
Which version would you guys say you've had an overall funner experience with?
Which, in your opinion, is the most satisfying one to raise and keep for many gens?
Which has a wider character array?
And, I think most importantly, which is more available to a person like me? (Considering I'm a college student in Puerto Rico, a small island in the middle of the Caribbean.) By this, I also mean considering things like how these Tamagotchi's connect and how they (as I think they do?) can download additional material?
