Which Color Tama?

I'm trying to figure out which color tamagotchi to buy.

I'm leaning toward the P's, because it seems like that has the most offered on it, although I'm finding the 4U at a good price as well and I like the shell designs. I've had an iDL before but it didn't last very long and won't work now, I'm assuming it wasn't in the best condition when I bought it. I don't want something that requires tons of add-ons to get the full experience from. I will try and do the downloads, but I have a Mac so I am not sure if that will hinder anything?

Anyway, what should I go for, an iDL, P's, or 4U? Any help is appreciated!

Depends on the user. If you enjoyed your iDL while it lasted, then the P's is the way to go. It's basically a more revamped version of the iDL. The characters are very different from the iDL though. The more generations you get, the more features you unlock. Plus, with or without downloads, it's very fun. Along with downloads, the pierces can give you more features and characters to add to the already numerous feature the P's has built in.

Personally, I prefer the 4U. I like the shell design and I like its simplicity gameplay-wise. If you prefer simpler, less complicated versions such as the +Color or early Tamagotchis, the the 4U just might be the better choice. If you have a phone that has NFC and is compatible, then you have access to hundreds of items and characters to download. Without downloads though, the gameplay is simple and is very much like the +Color and the iD.

If you can get an infrared device, go for P's. Although it will be just as fun without downloads. If you have an NFC device, go for the 4u.

I have the 4U and the Tamagotchi P's. I get way more enjoyment out of my P's than my 4U. The only thing I like more on the 4U is the shell and the skill system. Even with a NFC device (which I have) the 4U still isn't that great. I'd go for the P's for sure.
