I'm on the third generation on my v4 and I keep getting generic characters. FIrst it was Gozarutchi and then Masktchi and now I have anoter Gozarutchi. I have plenty of skill points to where it shouldn't be a universal character so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

 
Perhaps you aren't training it enough? Or maybe the happy and hungry hearts empty too often? Lots of different factors can come into getting a universal adult. (And also, are you getting a universal teens too? Or does this just happen to the adults?)

I didn't realize it, but I guess I'm getting universal teens too
