Tamagotchi Department Store in Japan

Has anyone been to the Tamagotchi Department Store in Japan. I'm going in May and I wanted to know what to expect.

I own a P'S and I'm considering a 4U+. I've heard there are some kind of kiosks or something in Japan that you can have your tamagotchi interact with for downloadable content? Is this true?

I'm looking for advice and what Tamagotchi's I should bring to Japan to make the most of my trip!

I haven't ever been there, but yes! There are kiosks available for the Tamagotchi P's but they aren't available anymore as the P's is discontinued. The ones available now are only for the 4U/4U+.

The 4U 'deka' is basically a whole bunch of NFC tags. There's an indicator you can touch your 4U to and you can download characters and items through them.

If you are bringing any Tamagotchis, there's no "must have" to bring with you. Right now, the P's and 4U would be I guess a "must have" but it doesn't really matter, you can bring any you'd like.
