Hello!

I bought a new tamagotchi and I have a question. If I Will change battery, I will lost my Edgar or here is something like save point?

 
When you put in a new battery you will have the option to download or reset. Download will bring Edgar back while reset completely restarts your tama. However, if you are referring to a vintage tama please keep in mind those don't have the download/reset option.
