Something unusual appeared in my tama's room yesterday! It was 23 June and a UFO suddenly showed up inside his home. It looks like the decorations that appear on holidays and special events, but I checked my guidebook and it says the next event shouldn't be until Tanabata in July. Anyone know what's up?

that ufo is appeard at vintage tamagotchi stories and boxes i downloaded an image from wikia and cutted out with paint

Tamagotchi P's were released in Japan on June 23, 2013. That appears to be the only release day with a significance to a possible "holiday". In 1998, the first tamagotchi's released (in U.S.A) had the infamous UFO as stated above, it is an older nostalgic part of Tamagotchi World. I have a mini backpack with the original UFOs on it.

It really does look like that UFO from the older packaging! It's pretty cute. I'll just enjoy it while it's here, hehe.
