Crochet/Knit Cases Pattern

So I have recently decided that I'd like to get some cases for my Tamas (need to protect that iD L E!);however, I'm fairly nifty with a needle and wool and it saves me having to pay the shipping from America (I'm in the UK) by making my own. I could probably knit a case from scratch as I'm a fairly experienced knitter and can knit flat on the round, but I feel that a crochet case would be neater, a snugger fit and quicker to make. However, I cannot find any basic patterns for colour Tama cases available online. I'm happy to pay for a pattern but I still can't find anything.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a pattern (preferably crochet) or any experienced crocheters able to give me any tips?

I usually start with a magic circle of 6 stitches and I do the following pattern to fit the tamagotchi

increase in every stitch (total stitches 12)

increase 1 stitch 1 (total of 18)

increase 1 stitch 2 ( total 24)

increase 1 stitch 3 (total 30)

increase 1 stitch 4 (total 36)

increase 1 stitch 5 (total 42) -- usually around here that it fits snuggly around the back of the IDL depends on the yarn you use but from my experience this fits nicely (I do check ever row I do)

From there I stitch around as usual until the case covers all the way to the face plate

Ah, that's brilliant, thank you! Just what I was looking for! Can I ask what weight yarn and size hook you generally use?

I usually use a 4.25mm hook or 4.5 mm depending on the yarn i tend to go towards the standard weight (around 5 here in canada) but i have used smaller and it works well the case is just thinner
