All i have is a japanese entama, and i don't know how hard they are or their needs, or really how to do anything because its all in japanese. Is this tamagotchi really hard to care for? the only real thing turning me away from it is its in japanese, so i dont know if it would be hard figure things out and translate the stuff, or if they are high maintenance because its gunna be hard not knowing what they want. If not could you guys recommend a good and cheap version of tamagotchi for me? preferably english too haha :)

Nope. v4 is very different from an EnTama.

And... you don't need to translate anything in a tamagotchi. Well, you can be curious about what the daily newspaper and mail says, sure, but it doesn't matter much. Maybe you'd only look up what certain job titles are if you care much about that (I didn't lol)

I guess it's ok for a first tama, but a v4 would probably be better, because again, they are both fundamentally different. They're not comparable at all.

The Entama is pretty easy to raise in my opinion, but it's not as fun as the English Version 4.

Version 4 has more games and it has a better shop with cool items. It has school and work too, which still doesn't make it too difficult, but if you'd like something simpler you could try a Version 2 or Version 3 instead.

You can get them for sort of cheap second-hand.
