Ways to get more Gotchi on the M!x?

I have been wondering if there are additional ways to get more gotchi on the mix. Sometimes after connecting I notice money appears, as well as once when I visited the Patchi Forest mud spa bath place. Are there certain facts that anyone has figured out on these yet? I.e. how many connections does it take to get paid or certain times of day to visit forest etc. Or are there other ways? I am trying to build up the gotchi to be able to purchase the larger ring, but my poor Mametchi is 7YO and still can barely afford a meal. His happiness keeps dropping and I spend it on other things to try and make him happy

That's basically what I've been doing. I just tap through it hella fast lol. I try to go to the mud spa place everyday too, but it seems inconsistent as to when it gives the bonus gotchi.

The Patchi Forest thing (Called the Onsen) has 4 possible animations which are random, one of which nets you 1000G

The best method to get money is between January 1 and January 7 (You can change the clock to these dates as many times as you want). If you're on generation 2 or higher, you can visit your parents house once per day and get money (1000G on gen. 2 and 2000G on gen 3 or more). You can then more a day forward and try again, all the way the 7th, then cycle back to the 1st and keep going.
