I think it's probably safe to say that the V9 isn't really a popular model since I have yet to see resources / guides for it... Or maybe it's just because it's similar to the previous model (the V8 or Tamagotchi Friends sans Dream Town moniker) or it's pretty straightforward.

I want to start a detailed growth chart project for the V9. From what I've noticed, the growth chart progression is very similar to the V8, but instead of the personality factor, there is a "Dream Class" which pretty much determines what your Teen Tamagotchi evolves to.

There's already a V8 Growth Chart by Natashenka posted on the webpage linked immediately after this, which is where I found some leads to what are the growth mechanics of the V9.

https://natashenka.ca/tamagotchi-friends-growth-chart/

So far, here's what I've gathered / concluded based on experience and Natashenka's post above:

1. Baby to Child change / evolution mechanics are pretty much the same. The character the Baby evolves to is random on even generations. For odd generations, there's a 66% chance that the current baby will be the other character it's parents didn't change to.

2. For Child to Teen, evolution mechanics are also the same. The child-stage Tamagotchi evolves to the next character based on the number of care misses. I will still need to keep track of the care misses required to get a specific Teen character, as even Natashenka does not know the specific amount of Care Misses it takes for a Child to evolve to a certain teen. She does know however that there are three levels of "Care Rating" that determines which Teen you Child changes to.

Excellent Care: Cosmotchi (Male) or Neotchi (Female)

Good Care: Maimaitchi (Male) or Nokobotchi (Female)

Ok Care: Bokuhoshitchi (Male) or Painaputchi (Female)

3. In V8, personality is a major factor in determining the Adult your Teen changes to. In V9, a "Dream School" mechanic has now been added, where playing a specific Dream School game assigns your Teen to a Dream Class, which definitely influences the growth of your character. If you do not play any Dream School games during the teen stage, your Teen evolves to a random character, with the appropriate Care Misses requirement.

It appears that there are also four levels of care, which means the "Care Misses" mechanic is still there, because there are also 1-4 characters per gender of each Dream Class as indicated on the Friendship Map. An English PDF copy of the Friendship Map can be found here: https://us.tamagotchifriends.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2014/04/Friendship-Map-04-29-14.pdf

So far, I have gotten characters which I am sure of to be the ones that require the least amount of care misses.

=============

To-Do's For this Project, anyone is welcome to contribute:

1. Determine the specific amount of care misses it takes to get a specific Teen.

2. Determine the specific amount of care misses it takes for each specific Teen to get a certain Adult. I am predicting that Cosmotchi and Neotchi will still require more care misses to get an Adult that is classified as "Excellent" or below care.

I'd like to contribute.

Now, today I think I can prove this theory, but I'm almost sure that the worst teen takes 5 care misses. (I let their hunger drop to zero, wait for three beeps, then fifteen minutes later, a miss. Two if it gets sick) Again, need a bit more through testing, but it's a start.

Also, another five on top of that usually nets you the worst care adult if there are only two possible adults for your selected class. (100% confirmation with Male Robot and Female Cooking) Needs way more testing, but I think this is how you get Tropatchi.

I got a little boy today, gonna aim for Karakutchi.

There's a few problems with your list of characters.

Specifically, Waltztchi, Crepetchi, Rinkurutchi, Amiamitchi, and Gotchimotchi.

Amiamitchi is not raisable, she's been a guest character since the original Friends model (but you can marry her in both versions)

The rest do not appear in any english Tamagotchi release.

The exact list of characters can be found on the Tamagotchi Wiki: https://tamagotchi.wikia.com/wiki/Tamagotchi_Friends:_Dream_Town_Digital_Friend

The methods for obtaining them, outside of the already known perfect care characters, is still unknown.

Also, five new characters have been added, but four had to be removed. The removed characters are Kiramotchi, Charatchi, Decoratchi, Wagassiertchi, and one more who is currently unknown. The removed character still appears as a guest character.

I've thought about it, and I'm seriously starting to think that our TF growth chart may be the Rosetta Stone to the DT chart.

This is great information.

Right now I have two units running both in the child stage, but I have failed to keep track of their exact care misses. On my next generation, during child stage, I'll aim for 4 care misses on my first unit and 6 misses on the second one to see which one gets the worst teen (Bokuhoshitchi or Painaputchi). If the child with 4 care misses does not evolve to Bokuhoshitchi nor Painaputchi, then it is probably safe to say that 5+ care misses are needed for the worst teen.

Which character did you get for male Robot with worst care? Rightchi or Nandetchi? And did you get Amakutchi for Female Cooking with worst care since Crepetchi is assumed to be unattainable in this version?

I agree with this one. I just listed down all of the characters on the Friendship Map (who are known to be attainable adults) since we still don't have a definite and proven answer on who really appears on the unit, and how much care misses it needs for a teen evolve into a certain character, but this is a good start. I think with this project we can single out the obtainable characters on the V9/DT from the official website's Friendship Map.

There are 32 characters in the Friendship Map which have been known to be obtainable characters in other releases (including Japanese) but... It's kinda of strange as well since there are so many characters on the Friendship Map but there are only 24 slots on the "Memory" page - making it safe to say that there are much more characters removed / not really obtainable apart from the ones you mentioned from the Wikia article.

======

Right now I have two female children characters running with x number of care misses although I'm pretty sure I'll get Neotchi on both.
imageproxy.php

If I do, I'll target both of them to be Beautician classes with different care miss amounts - one with 7 care misses and the other, 6. According to the V8 growth chart, it takes Neotchi 7+ care misses to get the worst care adult, so we'll find out if it is Tropiatchi or Memetchi. I'm pretty sure Yukinkotchi isn't attainable in this version, but no one knows for sure...

I forgot to mention that Nandetchi is also a guest character. I got Righttchi.

I guess five isn't the magic number: I got Cosmotchi. I guess it is six to go down a step? The worst care teen I get is Bokuhoshitchi, which leaves a gap... gah.

Agh, how could I have missed seeing Yukinkotchi was a guest in TF?

Amakutchi was indeed obtained. She's newly added to the DT.

Gonna aim for 8, Kakakutchi.

Okay new developments.

Both my female children (with x number of care misses) evolved into Nokobotchis.

The first unit had 4 Care misses and evolved into Coffretchi.

The second unit had at least 5 Care misses and evolved into Memetchi.

Great news. we're getting somewhere.

Made six, got Kakakutchi.

Do you think the system goes by overall care misses, and not just in a specific stage? Maybe?

My sister, who owns a DT, has some info we can use. She didn't keep numbers, but she can confirm her female child had at least six care mistakes, and also evolved into Nokobotchi. She got at least five more and obtained Tropatchi.

Okay so we can infer the following information:

?? Care Misses - Neotchi or Cosmotchi

6-? Care Misses - Nokobotchi or Maimaitchi

?? Care Misses - Painaputchi or Bokuhoshitchi

We still need to confirm how many exact amount of care misses does it take for a child to be considered a "worst care" character. I'm guessing it's around 8 or 9. But on my next generation I'll do 7 and 8 care misses at Child stage on my two V9's.

Hmm. Strange! Let me clarify, Tropatchi... Female beautician class? Because my 5 care miss female beautician teen evolved into Memetchi

I think we still have to do more testing for adult evolutions. And yes! I also wonder if the care miss count resets when it evolves.

Indeed, Tropatchi, Female Beautician class. She didn't keep too well track, it is more likely a higher number of care misses than that.

I'll go for nine care misses on my next child. Will report back once the gender is sorted out.

More developments.

Three care misses on my male child got me a Cosmotchi

Four care misses on my female child got me a Neotchi.

I'm guessing that it takes 5 care misses to get the middle teens (Nokobotchi and Maimaitchi) since 3-4 care misses didn't cut it.

My next child stage characters will get 5 and 6 care misses. Let's see if they will finally change to Nokobotchi and/or Maimaitchi.

Since there are many attainable characters on the Female Performer Class, I'll try to decipher how much it takes to get Kiraritchi and the others (I have only been getting Yumemitchi on both my DT's for Female Performer teens). Based on the V8 growth chart, a Neotchi will take 4 below to be considered less than Perfect Care, so I'll try to give my current Neotchi 4 care misses and see what happens.

It's kinda hard to decipher anything / get pertinent information from a Male character because there are significantly fewer male characters than females lol.

So for this generation:

Turtlechi (3 care misses) --> Cosmotchi (4 care misses, Pet Stylist) --> Monakatchi

Terupotchi (4 care misses) --> Neotchi (4 care misses, Performer) --> Yumemitchi

I'm beginning to think that some of the care levels net you random characters

My apologies for taking so long.

Boy, 9 mistakes - Bokuhoshitchi. Guess 10 then?

You could be right... there could be some degree of randomness. I believe there was some within the TF, and the version before that, the Tama Go, had a lot of it.

Both my units turned into Maimaitchi with 5 care misses.

0-4 Care Misses: Cosmotchi or Neotchi

5-? Care Misses: Maimaitchi or Nokobotchi

?-? Care Misses: Bokuhoshitchi or Painaputchi

Since they're both males and there are only a few male adult characters, I won't be counting care misses.

Hopefully on my next generation I get females lol
