Tamagotchi M!X Special Animation?

So my 4th gen Tama on my M!X is now 8 years old, and when I checked up on him just now, a message in a speech bubble appeared. He then gave me a present and when it opened, something sprung out; he then blew a kiss and a heart drifted into the box. The present then lit up (similar to the evolution animation) and then what looked like 2 small hearts came out of it.

This probably sounds all a bit odd (it was certainly odd to see!), but I was just wondering if anyone else has encountered this or knows what this is?

Oh! I'm completely forgetting that the Tamagotchis will celebrate Japanese holidays Thanks for clearing that up!
