Hey all, long time tamagotchi fan but first time poster here. I just ordered a Tamagotchi mix 20th anniversary in royal white. I was thinking about just buying a regular mix as well, but I don't know if I should wait or not. I just wanted some opinions, is it better to have two mixs right off the get go for breeding and unlocking certain locations? Or should I just simmer down and wait? :)

I also recently ordered the same Tamagotchi as you and I'm waiting for it to arrive. If you want either a Spacy/Melody, there are different characters and locations, but one of these locations (Mermaid Palace) needs you to connect with...I think it was 3 (I could be wrong here) other mix units. So basically you'll need to be able to connect with that many mix Tamas in order to unlock it. There's also the newly released Sanrio mix, but that's a lot more pricey. It has the Sanrio characters and new locations that you can marry your Tama off to, which adds in more variety, but like I mentioned, it's pretty expensive (~$120NZD for me, ugh)

You can still make your Tamagotchi get married to another character in one of the locations rather than having to get another mix to marry them off to.

 
As far as I know, the anniversary m!x doesn't require anything to be unlocked, but the spacy/melody ver. do. As for connecting to 3 different tamas to unlock the different areas, I believe you can get around that by resetting the anniversary one 3 times and connecting it to unlock the areas, and then playing normally from then on.

 
I would just wait and see how you like the Anni. I found it entertaining at first but quickly grew bored with it. You can unlock everything with just the Anni Mix so no real need for another.

 
Thanks for all the responses everyone! I think I will just simmer down and wait for my Ani mix to make it's way to me before I buy another mix. It will be hard though, it hasn't shipped yet and I ordered it on Thursday night so I have a bit of wait ahead of me. But I have an Angel Gotch and a p1 in the mail right now as we speak so that will help :) This waiting is killing me!!
