Your basement... I mean my basement! wait i don't
So I got a Tamagotchi Friends for Christmas and I have a few questions about it.

1: My Tama keeps calling out to me with an explanation point over his head. What does that mean? He is completely full and happy, so it must mean something other then that.

2: For some reason the sounds are kind of rough compared to my v4.5 (I'm not sure how else I would explain it). Is that normal, of is there something wrong with my speakers?

3: Is jewelry important, or are they just for collecting?

Sorry, these are probably pretty obvious to those who've had a Friends for a while. I greatly appreciate the help, and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, or whatever other holiday you may celebrate.

I only know about the 1st and the 3rd. I've heard they call you just to express happiness, and the jewelry you collect to unlock games. You need 30 and then 60 pieces, but you can't reach 60 unless you connect with another.

Sounds on Friends are rough, yes. Compared to the connections. Tama Go has the same sounds too.

I second what Iza said about the uneeded attention calls; this habit got so annoying I put my Dream Towns on mute. While it is true jewelry unlocks games, for the most part it's useless as neither of the games are really that special, not like it would be if the Tamagotchi Friends had only a few games. I'm not sure what to make of the sound since I've heard some people saying its awful but amongst my four Dream Towns, only one has slightly irritating sound.

When I got my first Tama GO I remember being thrown off by the sounds, they are really harsh compared to Connections.

When I got my first Dream Town, I didn't find the sound was any more discomforting than my connections, just different. My P2s, on the other hand, can get very high pitched and squeaky that it can become uncomfortable to listen to. Perhaps my P2 experience is closer to how people have felt about the Tamagotchi Friends, though now I'm wondering if maybe they improved the sound with the Dream Town model or maybe the first waves had bad sound.

I don't have Dream Town but it's possible... I do agree on the P1/P2 though, their sound is really harsh as well. Especially the death chime. No good.

While I prefer the sounds on my connection, the Friends sounds don't bother me that much. I was just wondering if there was something wrong with it. And what are the two games? I found a Friends item generator so I could get all of the jewelry if I wanted.

The two games are Flower Count - basically the preschool job on the V4 where one counts the number of students who remain on the bus, but this time changed to flowers (which makes no sense) - and Cake Catch - the same as the florist job on the V4 but instead one grabs the correct cake on a sliding conveyor belt. They're the same on both versions of the Tamagotchi Friends, even the European version. Because I had encountered both games already on my V4, it seemed a bit like a ripoff although it could be argued this is a nod to the older releases. Yet, preschool children heading onto a bus and then wandering off makes perfect sense while watching a bunch of flowers collect on a bus is just so... weird. The other thing is that Cake Catch is a difficult game to get a perfect score on yet on the Dream Town versions (not sure about the Friends) it has a reduced pay out of 800 instead of 1000. I wonder if Bandai thought this game would be so easy they had to give an incentive to play the other games.

I hope you're enjoying your tamagotchi friends! I need to start mine up again lol The exclamation mark is just your tama wanting to show you an animation, at certain times that'll be a showering animation and other times it'll just be one of the animations you get by pressing the c button.

My M!x totally does the exclamation point thing when it's happy, too (or if I push the C button when it's in a good mood). It then usually runs around the house hiding behind things. I think it's actually playing Hide and Seek? XD

I need help.

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this. I have a 4u and I was wondering when it goes to its "Personality Stage" (The 4u word for teen).
