Hi there!

My friend is getting rid of these and Im looking at getting them for myself. I really want a V2 as they have my favorite characters.

Does anyone know if the pictured Tamagotchi's are Tamagotchi Connection Version 1 or Tamagotchi Connection Version 2? My friend doesnt know either and wants to know :D

As Kuchikid said, the first two are V6/Music Stars as can be seen on Project Tama Shell. On the same website, the white and yellow one appears as a V1 but the easiest way to check is to start it up as V1s have Babytchi (a white or black ball-shaped character) for the baby stage while V2s have Petitchi (a teardrop-shaped blob with legs).

Thank you both for your help. What are your thourghts to the V6?

Would you also say this is a V4? Or a entama? I cant see it on the site.

I don't have a V6 but I was thinking of getting one because it was a themed connection, but I have heard it is a very intensive Tamagotchi. I'd say your Tamagotchi is likely an Entama as they have shells like that - but it appears that places outside of North America got Entama shells with V4 programming. The easiest way to check is to flip the Tamagotchi over and look at the back cover for Japanese. If it has Japanese, it is an Entama, but if it has no Japanese, then it is a V4. Of course, the alternative is popping in a battery as Japanese will instantly pop up after A or B is pressed, in choosing whether to download (top option) or reset (bottom option).

It might be a V4 but I'm not 100% positive.

Thank you for the help. Is there much difference between Entama and a V4? :)

They're entirely different versions, almost non comparable. The most similar thing about them are most of the characters and the existence of the gut points system. They do share similar features (gut points, preschool school and job, as well as mail) but they are vastly different in both versions. They're both special in their own ways.
