OK, so, the app tells you that different food combinations will net you different characters as your Tamas grow, and I`m wondering just how this system works!

I`ve fed two Tamas a fruit-only diet so far (apple and orange) and got Omutsutchi --- Hoshitchi ---- Nikatchi ---- Chamametchi, both times. Now, on a sushi-only diet, so far I`ve had Futabatchi --- Hoshitchi --- Hinatchi --- (we`ll see!)

Fellow Tamagotchi caretakers, I need your help: post your Tamagotchi`s growth stages here, along with any notable staples of their diet (or exceptions!). I`m gonna get a spreadsheet going and see if we can eventually find anything interesting!

Let's work together to figure out this app! (The fun, Sherlock Holmes kinda way, not the "get all the code and tell the world" way.)

I didn't expect to see any correlations after only two replies, so that's cool!

It makes sense that raising your Tama as if it's a food garborator would get you Kuchipatchi :lol:

Oh, and it turns out I got Mametchi after feeding my Tama only nigiri-sushi. Now I'm raising one on a diet of swirly lollipops because I have a silly thought that I might get Memetchi that way :p Poor thing is going to have such awful teeth....

I've only fed them what they asked for and got a Mametchi, a Memetchi, and a Sebiretchi, so I'm not sure.... It does say the following about food choices on each one, which might be a hint in how to get them:

Children:

Hoshitchi:Enjoys snacks or a juicy piece of fruit

Meganetchi: Sweet veggies are its favorite food.

Teens:

Nikatchi: It likes all fruit except lemons

Hinatchi: It prefers to eat salads

Mokokotchi: [it] likes to snack all day long

Adults:

Mametchi: Enjoys a good prime piece of meat or seafood

Memetchi: She loves sweets and orange fruits

Sebiretchi: Fruity snacks are her favorite

So at least with Mametchi, seems like he's the result of a meaty diet... Could probably get Memetchi by feeding a teen oranges?

Hmm, looks like swirly lollipops OR oranges could do the trick!

Funny you should mention Sebiretchi, though, my friend fed her Nikatchi tons of hotdogs (I think it was a hotdog? Some sandwich-thing at least) and got her...

Perhaps some of the food preferences do influence growth, but maybe some of their "liked/disliked foods" simply influence how much of the hunger meter is filled at a time when you feed them....or maybe it just influences what they tend to ask for more often. Going to look into that now to rule out some conflicting variables.... :p

(If you couldn't tell I'm having way too much fun with Tamagotchi data science over here)

I'm glad this thread exists! I've been curious to know which food combinations affect each character. I'm only on my fourth generation so far (and my toddler just evolved as I was writing this!), but here are my growths and the food I fed at each stage (not including the demo Mametchi):

Gen. 1:

Futabatchi (mixture, but mostly apples)

-> Hoshitchi (mixture, but mostly apples and broccoli)

-> Nikatchi (mixture, but mostly apples and oranges)

-> Chamametchi

Gen. 2:

Futabatchi (alternated between chocolate and cookies)

-> Meganetchi (alternated between chocolate and cookies)

-> Mokokotchi (alternated between chocolate and cookies and the occasional hotdog)

-> Kuchipatchi

Gen. 3:

Omututchi (exclusively broccoli)

-> Meganetchi (broccoli and some cucumber)

-> Hinatchi (exclusively cucumber)

-> Kuromametchi

Gen. 4:

Omututchi (exclusively lollipops)

-> Meganetchi (exclusively sausages except one steak right before evolution)

-> Soyofuwatchi (will alternate between lollipops and oranges exclusively)

TheYatagarasu, I had the same thoughts as you on Memetchi! I only alternated at the toddler stage to get my missing teen, so will update when it finally evolves.

Eeveelai, did you feed your characters the favourite food of your desired adult to obtain each of them? I'm asking because Kuromametchi seems to be a big outlier for me so far!

As an aside, how long are evolutions taking for you all? My first generation was super regular (30 mins to toddler, 24 hours to teenager and 48 hours to adult) but they've been taking progressively longer with every passing generation (to the point where my most recent Omututchi to Meganetchi took well over four hours, even with regularly looking after it during my flight)...

Here's what I've got so far:

For the first three generations I basically only gave it whatever food it was asking for.

Gen 1: Futabatchi -> Hoshitchi -> Nikatchi -> Memetchi

Gen 2: Futabatchi -> Meganetchi -> Nikatchi -> Memetchi

Gen 3: Omututchi -> Hoshitchi -> Mokokotchi -> Sebiretchi

Seems like the adult depends on the baby but it's hard to be sure.

For the fourth generation I only fed it food I figured would count as unhealthy

Gen 4: Omututchi -> Meganetchi -> Mokokotchi -> Kuchipatchi

I also downloaded the apk onto my bluestacks a few months back and never really played it except to evolve it a few days ago. Didn't really feed it anything:

Futabatchi -> Hoshitchi -> Nikatchi -> Gozarutchi (the secret character!)

@Chaowzee,

Yes, I just used the information from the previous games and fed the Tamas the specific foods they liked in order to obtain them. Specifically for the bad-care tamas (Gozarutchi), I literally fed it nothing at all. Lol that sounds really bad but I just had a theory and it worked.

Im pretty sure that the previous stages dont affect the outcome of your next evolution from what Ive observed but I might be wrong. For the most part from baby to teen I feed them oranges and apples and usually that leads me from whatever baby to the Hoshitchi and to Nikatchi. After it evolves into the teen, I start feeding the desired foods and hope for the best.

Right now Im trying to get Lovelitchi. Im currently feeding it strawberries which are honestly so expensive and the ice-cream(? I think) dessert you get from videos. If that doesnt work, Im going to try always keeping it satiated to my best efforts since the games require best care. And if that doesnt work tbh idk..

Evolution takes way too long for me, even in the baby stage now. I think it does get longer the more generations pass.

Hope I answered your question!

Ohmigosh Gozarutchi is the secret character!?!? I'm so excited I really like Gozarutchi asdfljdaskf I WANT ONE. :gozarutchi: :gozarutchi: :gozarutchi:

*ahem*

Well, it looks like feeding fruits = confirmed Chamametchi, and a random assortment of junk food (chocolates, pastries, etc.) = Kuchipatchi. The statistics are in favour :D

Also, feeding my Mokokotchi only swirly lollipops netted me a Memetchi like I thought!

hwd45, what was your Tamagotchi asking to eat before it evolved into Sebiretchi? And Eeveelai, I'm interested in whether or not you end up with a Lovelitchi too! Sebiretchi, Lovelitchi, and Kuromametchi are still total mysteries to me...

And I haven't really noticed the generation times getting any longer, but I'm a ridiculously patient person and don't ever notice such things (in a past life I was probably a tree or something that just sits there).

I got Sebiretchi on my first playthrough and I think I mostly fed the teen what it wanted, which was chocolate, I think.

Got my adult just now! Twinsies with TheYatagarasu! ^_^

Gen. 4:

Omututchi (exclusively lollipops)

-> Meganetchi (exclusively sausages except one steak right before evolution)

-> Soyofuwatchi (alternated between lollipops and oranges)

-> Memetchi

I talked to a user on Twitter (her handle is @xoaliceMCR) as she'd managed to obtain Lovelitchi by feeding mostly lollipops and some sausages. Her food preference is "sweets and grilled food", which fits that perfectly. Will definitely be giving this a try next generation (which I will hopefully begin to tackle later tonight)! Big thanks to her for her response to my question.

Eeveelai, thank you for your detailed response! I'm hoping that you'll be able to get Lovelitchi from strawberries and ice cream. Crossing my fingers for you!

Thank you for the good luck wishes! But lol I got a Memetchi. As soon as I read your message I bought a bunch of sausages and lollipops and hopefully I'll be able to get a Lovelitchi and finally complete my collection! I definitely feel bad now because I spent so long watching 30 second ads just to get one ice cream. Yikes

I can confirm I just got a Lovelitchi by feeding her only sausages. Not the hot dogs btw, the ones that cost 21 coins. :)

Gen. 5

Futabatchi (alternated between sausages and lollipops)

-> Meganetchi (alternated between sausages and lollipops)

-> Soyofuwatchi (alternated between sausages and lollipops, then focused on sausages in the final 12 hours before evolution)

-> Lovelitchi

Hooray! I got my Lovelitchi this morning. :wub: I'll keep her around for a little while before moving onto my next generation (I suppose I'll aim for Gozarutchi since Sebiretchi seems to have an air of randomness about her still...).

I fed my last generation only broccoli from teen to adult and got Mametchi. I fed him one sushi on accident, and I wonder if that's what did it?

This generation, I'm only feeding my teen fries. We'll see what happens!

My stats:

1st Gen-

·Futabatchi

·Hoshitchi

·Nikatchi

·Memetchi

I had a blind run of this game, so I fed it a mix of foods and what it wanted, but I chose mainly fruit and especially oranges.

2nd Gen-

·Omututchi (fed meat, mainly sausages)

·Meganetchi(meat and sausages again)

·Soyofuwatchi (vegetables and sushi)

·Mametchi

3rd Gen-

·Omutuchi (same as 2nd Gen)

·Meganetchi (junk foods like cookies, chocolate, and fries)

·Mokokotchi (100% cucumbers)

·Mametchi

4th Gen-

Gonna try to get a kuchipatchi by feeding the teen junk food.

On getting Sebiretchi, I told my friend to feed Soyofuwatchi 100% apples. She's also terribly forgetful and while she did feed it apples, she forgot to feed it for like two days straight.
