V4 Eat Balls?

So my V4 got the ball glitch, and I don't want to reset it, but I will if it's the only option to fix the problem.

Can I just have him eat the balls? Some people suggested that elsewhere, but others said it doesn't work.

If it's of any use, after all the balls, the food menu has random food items (mostly snacks) with numbers that aren't actually numbers -- just random symbols.


UPDATE: he can't eat the balls. He refuses. I guess I'll have to reset...
UPDATE 2: he CAN eat the balls. He was just full when I tried.

I know you don’t want to reset, but honestly it’s better than going to all this trouble.

I just want to know if eating all the Balls has actually worked for anyone. If it has, I'll do it. Otherwise, I'll reset.

It doesn't work at all. When he eats one Ball, another just takes its place. I can tell because the 16th item is always the 5th item in the Snacks section. Foods 5-15 are always Balls.
