Janet grabbed the comb and ran it through her hair."Anna!" she called. "What?" Janet's big sister,
Anna ran to her room."Which one should I pick, purple or pink?" Janet held up two backpacks.
Anna studied them quickly. "Well, purple is dark and pink is light so pick from light and dark. See I'm a dark." Anna showed off her new purple tie dye shirt. "Whatever!" Janet said rolling her eyes.
"Cheerleader Tryouts! Held in the Gym!!" The intercom boomed. Janet quickly finished her math page. Then she headed outside to open her locker. "Janet!" came a familier voice.

Diana was running toward Janet. "Hi! Are you going for tryouts?" Diana asked. "Sure, why not?" she replied. Their worst enemy, Sally, was listening. "Oooh, Janet, queen of smarts is joining the cheer squad? Get serious!" Sally glared. "Get serious!" Janet mimicked. Diana giggled. They ran to the gym while a girl was stumbling in a cartwheel. "Next!" the coach called dully. A new girl in Diana's history class walked up to the mat. Her hands moved around gracefully and her flips were fantastic."Excell!" exclaimed the coach. The new girl,
Holly, blushed. "Good job!" Janet said. "Oh, thank you!" Holly said. "Mind if I watch?" she asked as Janet stepped up to the mat. "Sure!" Diana smiled. Janet did a cheer with an end triple cartwheel. Holly smiled shyly. Soon Diana's turn was finished. They had all made it.*******************************
The next week was the basketball game. janet went to go change while Sally quietly hooked up her trap and she hung a can of orange paint on the rope and connected it to a board to where janet's spot was at................
