ok......my v1 tama's battery is dead. Then I put a new battery in it from another tamagotchi. when I put it in, it made a long beeping sound that didn't stop until I had to finnally take the battery out. I don't know if its' because the battery died, or something else. I'm afraid that I broke it! It was my first tamagotchi! (Luckily, I had just gotten a v2, so I was entertained). Im can't get a new battery yet though. Also, the icons like the food and the lights(the things that light up when you push A) aren't there, You can tilt it anyway but there is no sign that it was there. Is that normal for when a tama's battery runs dead? Please help me!!! :furawatchi:

well when i changed my tamas batterys mine only beeped for 2 seconds so i dont know y urs beeped for so long.when the battery is dead a battery comes up with a big X over it

the battery was dead-I took it out-put a new one in-adn it started beeping!

BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!!!!!!!

my dad took mine and the old batteryto replace. after that i dont kno what happened.but it worked normally.

and the BBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP always happenes when u reset it.

alright i'm an expert in this subject this happens to me everytime i change a battery. try taking the battery back out and putting it in again but you need to be sure the battery from your other tama isn't dead as well if you choose to take the route of exchanging batteries. now if you replace the battery with a brand new one right out of the package and it still does it you have to hit reset 3 times yes i know that reset button everyone hates but that's the only way to fix it if it does that with a brand new battery. and sometimes it will do that on the very first battery change and never again but sometimes it will do it everytime so try to replace it with a brand new one everytime to avoid the long continuous beep. hope i helped.

if the battery's dead, you can do 1 of 2 things...

1) while there still is a big X on the screen, press reset. This won't delete your existing tama or anything. It will just revive it.

2) Tae the battery out (this works better when the x is still there but can work any way) and for about 5 min, rub the battery on your shirt or a rug, and this will make it work, because of the static. I did this b4 and the first time it lasted for 10 secs, and in that time i feed my tama, but then died again, and so i did it again and it worked for a couple of days.

hope it helped.

probably cos it's an old battery.
remember when I said that i took it out of a NEW tamagotchi with a NEW batte4ry?

hope you understand it more now

by the way, what about my icons on my tamagotchi???
