I recently bought my first tamagotchi connection at wal-mart. I used to own the older one but lost it. Anyways, I dont know anyone who has a tomagotchi plus. You can only connect if you know other people though right? Since my tamagotchi doesnt have any friends does that mean that he will never be able to start a 2nd generation? Thank you so much for the help!

 
No, later on when your Tama is around or after the age of 8 (when mine was) the matchmaker will appear and ask this you if the tama on the screen will do for your mate. if you click "yes"

they will mate an in about a minute you'll have a baby tama. 24 hours afterwards the parent will die. and the 2nd gen. begins

click 'no' the matchmaker will leave and come back everyday untill a limit then your tama will grow old and die
