Molly sat in front of the television, though she wasn't really watching it. In her hand was her tamagotchi, called Rufus. He was also watching TV. Molly was talking to herself again. Where had her sister gone? The last time she had been seen was when she was walking down Marlow street. She was seen by Mrs Walsh who lived there. Mrs Walsh had seen her sauntering down the street, but next minute she had gone. That had been 2 years ago. She always thought about her sister in the morning, when no one else had woken up. She felt that, if she thought about her sister in public, she would cry, and... Well. Some times she felt angry at her sister for disappearing. And when her mother had shouted at her and made her cry, she felt a little envious. But now she just felt sad. Sad is a bit of an understatement really. Distraught. That would fit. Rufus turned from the television to look up at Molly. She was now crying freely. A large tear fell on his egg, causing the glass to become blurred. Rufus started to cry. He hadn't been fed and was very nearly starved. He was as unhappy as it is possible to be if you are a tamagotchi. Molly had turned the sound off permanently because the mindless bleeping annoyed her. This meant he couldn't tell her how he felt, and she never even looked at him nowadays. He couldn't even remember what it was like to dance, or jump. He was as upset as she was.

Finally Molly stood up, tears falling like rain. She ran upstairs, grabbed her school bag and emptied it. Then she filled it with clothes and necessities, including her pen knife.. In the kitchen she packed a bag of crisps and some biscuits. Then, Rufus in hand, she left the house. Rufus heard her mutter, "Right sis, I’m coming". Without warning, Molly launched herself into a run. She sprinted over the road, round the corner into another street. Molly stopped and glanced at the street sign. Marlow Street. That was the street her sister had dissapeared on! Maybe there was sign somewhwere. a sign pointing to where her sister had gone. "AAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!"she screamed. There was a hand poking out from under the sign. Molly recognised the large emerald ring on the index finger. It was her sister's. Rufus knew what was coming. Tears. He was wrong. Without saying a word, she pulled her pen knife from her pocket, and drove into her stomach. She gasped, eyes rolling. Then she fell. There she was, lying spreadeagled on the ground. Dead. Rufus rolled out of her hand and into the road. What is gonna happen to me?, he wondered. He was so hungry, so sad. Just as he thought he was gonna die, a car shot over him. The car did it before he could say good bye to the world. Just like that.
