Nanos are often manufactured incorrectly. You may notice that the screen is bad, or something else. Some are perfect, but some are far from it. <_< . Does it have any other faults, and when did you purchace it?
Yes i have heard that some can be broken.like if the screen is broken they would just stick together with glue.And my friend got this like in 1998 but my other friend had hers from 1997 when they came out and hers is in good shape.And whenever i'm outside its hard for me to see the darn thing cause its always fading and the batteries are perfectly fine.And sometimes i feel really bad for mimi cause when i try to get her to go to the washroom i always press the descline button then she starts crying and i dont like when she crys.See thats why i hate the screen it mess;s up EVERYTHING WITH MIMI :'(

I had to take back several Nano before getting one that was just right.
