when your battery dies

When your battery dies, do you lose the record of all your generations? I've heard of people on hear talking about "downloading" your latest character's last major event - what is that all about, where do you do it, HOW do you do it, and wont' that only give you your latest character - all your past generation records will be lost? Thanks

You don't lose the information on your past gens / friends & items list if you download when you change batteries.

Once the new battery is in you will see an egg on screen. Push the Reset button gently (at the back of the Tama - with a pencil nib) and you hear a long beep.

Press B and you see on screen two options:

DOWNLOAD?

RESET?

Use button A to scroll between the options and button B to select DOWNLOAD.

Your Tama character will appear back on screen again - as if the batteries had never died...

REALLY?! YAY! That is so awesome! So it basically saves everything if you want it back again, but you can start anew again too. COOL!
