I've got a five year old Mametchi and my fiance has a one year old Ichigotchi - Both are Tamagotchi Connections. We can't seem to get them to connect. Do they both have to be adults to connect? If not, any hints? Do we both have to hit connect at once? Just one person?

No, any tamagotchi connection/connexion/plus can connect to another at ANY age (some say they won't connect if either is a baby before it's taken a nap, but I've gotten them to connect before the nap). Make sure they are less than 3 inches apart and push the connect icon at the same time. Then, on at least one unit, press the middle button again.
