Hey yall, I'm new here. Well the other day I saw the new Tama's and I was like "Where did my old one go?!" So I searched but could not find it so I immediately checked ebay to see if I could buy one. Sure enough I found one labeled "1997 Hong Kong collector's Edition Tamagotchi" I went ahead and bought it but I was wondering if it is a real tama. It is red and has the year "1997" overlapping the three buttons and some sort of asian characters on the top in gold. Thanks alot guys

Yes, it is real. I have one. They are some-what rare. Their are only 10,000 made in the world.
