I'm pretty sure it just depends on if the batteries are good or not. I think mine are starting to die and it's only about a month old.

 
It depends on the tama you have.

The first run of the V1's were awful. They lasted around 8 days.

The second batch of V1's were much better lasting a couple of months if not 3 or 4 months.

I have ones going that have been on for about 4 months now.

My Japanese ones have lasted more than 6 months.

Turning the sound off also helps a lot in the life of the battery.
