Today I connected my tamagotchi connection with my friend's, and Pixie gave his tamagotchi a piece of poop for a present! Dixie made a mad face (I don't blame him). Why did she do that? If I discipline her, will she stop giving nasty presents?

Yes, tamagotchis can receve/give realy bad presents. You can get poop, a ghost and even sickness (the skull). Its just the tamagotchis rections.....even myn are best frineds and occasionally, they give bad presents.

Yeah i have mated with someone who gave me poop sicknesses jack-in-the-box and it dosnt effect there happieness nothing not even there companionship
