Have you both selected the infra red icon at the same time?

EDIT: What tama have you got, version wise?

What stage are they in? eg: baby (just hatched), toddler (evolved once), teenager (evolved twice), ect, ect.

(evolved isn't the best word to use but I can't think of any othjer words at this particular seoncd in time)

Hmm - you should be able to connect a V2 at any stage.

Are you trying to connect with another V2 or a V1 ? Did you and your friend both remember to choose V2/V1 (whichever is appropriate) when you pressed connect?

I think the abays have problems connecting, or so my friend has told me from practsing but I've never had problems with a teen. o_O You've said his/ hers is a v2, but what is yours?

do Tama's have to be the same age? to connect? like teen-teen adult-adult ar can it be teen-adult?

 
never mind i figured it out!

u have to press B to start the connection when it says stand-by! i never did that!
