Does ur tama have to be a certain age to mate?

My :( drank a love potion and I linked with my friend with a male B)

, and they won't mate. Is there a certain age they need to be?

 
I think your tama needs to have been an active adult for more than 24 hours and your friend's would have to be too... what is the friends meter (the smiley faces)??? it needs to have had enough interaction with your friend's tama to have 4 hearts before they will mate :( B)

well did you connect them when there are still hearts above the furawatchi? because if they went away then you will have to wait to have children.

 
I linked them after and they both had 4 hearts for the friend list.

How long do I gotta wait before they can have tamagotchi-babies?
