I live in the U.S. and am highly anticipating the release of the new Tamagotchi Connections. I was wondering however about the Tamagotchi Plus and Connexion versions and how they differ from each other and how they will be different from the U.S. Connection release. Does anyone know how the Tamagotchi Connexion and Plus differ? Are the UK and the Japanese versions able to interact with each other through infared? Just a few questions I was curious about. Hope you can all help.

Welcome to the forums! I'll be glad to help you, I also live in the U.S and am awaiting august 15th. There are no diffrences between the U.K and Japanese versions, so i assume it will be the same with the american, well the only diffrence is the language the very little language in the tama has american language as apose to the japense version witch has japenese writing. Also it has been confirmed people have tried a Plus with a Connex and it worked we just don't know if they will work with the American Connection (it probally will).

Well, I've noticed a few minor differences.
Firstly, the baths are different. In the Japanese version, it looks a bit like a tiled jaquzzi (sp?) but it's more like a tub in TamConX. Also, the holidays are different, I'd guess.

Oh yeah my bad the japenese has:

January 1st, New Year's Day.

March 3rd, Girls' Day.

May 5th, Boys' Day

July 7th, Star Festival

September 15th Moon Festival

December 24th Christmas Eve

And i don't think connex has Girls, or boy's day, and am not sure if we have july 7th "star festival" or "moon festival" i think maybe we have july 4th instead.

Nah. Mine didn't do anything during the Star Festival. Once I changed the date on it to Valentines Day, but nothing happened! Maybe it has some sort of Anti-Cheat thingy?

Maybe but when i found the list of holidays it didn't mention Valentines day...

Oh P.S. a classic earlie 90's/ late 80's movie is starting now on TBS SuperStation 'Three Men and A Baby" real classic i watched it when i was like 5.

The Tama Plus does not go to the beach like the European-Aussie-Asian versions do.
The Connexions don't fly kites like the Japanese ones do on special occasions.
There are just small differences.

Hmm... interesting. Also, (I know I've mentioned this before), but there is a slight difference in two of the character's names. I don't know whether it's a difference or a typo, but anyway...

The Tamababy characters are known as Bebitchi (Boy) and Shirobebitchi (Girl). However, in the TamConX instruction leaflet, they are known as black Hebi-chi and white Hebi-chi.

Sorry I'm a dummy newbie. Wasn't sure where to look for the other threads. If you can direct me I will gladly read those too. I enjoyed reading your comments. I just purchased a Tama Connexion online but will still try to get my hands on the new U.S. version this August. I can't wait. I didn't know they had holidays too!!! That's so cute. Maybe I should get a Japanese version also and can compare all the differences from the three. I could also have cute inter-racial Tama babies. Are the characters the same on the Japan and UK versions too?

Reading all this has made me greatly anticipate the new arrival of the Connection in the U.S. Thanks for all your help.

P.S. What about colors? I just bought my UK version and have a favorite color, but did the Japanese and UK colors differ much? Anyone know if the U.S. colors will be different?

Yes they do have holidays, it's ok you made a new topic on this subject the others were old, the only diffrent APPERENCE of charecters and not just name maybe is the secret one not the oldman or kinkomothchi.
And here is the world wide first set of colors that America (and me) will be getting in stores all over!!!

Here they show you the first set America will be getting (same as U.K)
And they also show you the second set thats already in japan i think.

Hi all! I just heard from Bandai. These are the colors that they told me the new Connections U.S. would be coming in magenta, light pink, lime green, orange, purple and hot pink. I'm glad I got my baby blue UK and I hope to snatch a lime green in stores as soon as August 15th rolls around.

Ye shtye recently announced that they WOULDNT be releasign the same set as the U.K here is the link with the six new Connection pictures, i want to get the top middle one looks like a old ocean, the green one that looks like a disco floor or as they call it "Green with Matrix" and the orange and yellow.

There are other differences...The Tamagotchi Plus has more memory than the Connexion and I've heard you can have more generations on the Plus....Not sure about the generation thing though. I'll explain the memory thing if you guys absolutely make me.....because I don't feel like typing it out. XD

Yep I agree with all of your choices in color. I'm going to buy a green one and a purple one. My brother hates all of the colors so I'm probably going to get him a UK version. Hey can any of you guys list the Tama's holidays for me in the UK version or send me to a list of them online? My brother wants to know what they are. Thanks guys. I'm gonna pre-order mine so I don't have to go home sad with no Tama
