Obviously I am new here... I kinda got carried away with pausing... I became impatient and I wanted my pet to be an adult faster... So I set the time to 11:59 pm. Wait for it to be 12, then set the time to 8 am so it adds a year to it's age. I think I overdid it and added 3 years. I let it grow normally for 2 days but it still isn't an adult. It's 8 years old now... Will be nine tomorrow. Help, please? Did I screw it up forever? Do I have to reset?

Just wait a few days. Pausing messes up the clock for againg so if you were pausing, it will take a bit long to make your tama an adult. If by another 2 or 3 days you are still not an adult, THEN I would reset

Changing the clock will make its age go up, but it will not speed up the evolution process. It will stay in the teen stage for 3, 4, or 5 days (if you do not pause). If you do pause, it will take that much longer to evolve.
