you cana choose your tama character if you debug it. but i don't recomend it. althouhg it allows you to do many more things, it has been known for the tama to break while someone is debugging it. i like the surprize of wut character you get!

Otherwise, the way you care for your tamagotchi and which generation it is is the only way to determine which character you'll get, and even then you can't be sure.
