Well, why not put it in Tama "suspension"?
Just take out the batteries, put it back together and keep it safe somewhere.
When you want to start it up again, put the batteries back in, press the reset button at the back of the Tama, then button B and choose DOWNLOAD.
Your tama will start up again as the character it was when you first took out the batteries.
