this guide is for new tamagotchi pet owners. hopefully this will anwser some of the questions being posted. but if there are any other unaswered questions that were not ansered here please post them and i migjht be able to help you.

[/u]1.TAMA CONTROLS AND THE ICONS
there are only 3 buttons on the tamagotchi.but they can be combined together to use as different meanings(ex. a+
the buttons on the tamagotchi are, A,B and C. A means to switch from icon to icon, B means to choose, and C means to cancel.
A+B is to pause you tama.hold A and B to take it out of pause mode.NOTE: note that when you put your tama in pause mode it stops its grouth. and also uses up battery.
A+C is to turn the sound off and on. when you turn off the sound press A and C again and choose on to turn it on again.click B when you tama is not doing anything to go to the time settings, then press A and C to set the time to whatever you want.the date is also changeble.NOTE certain events happen on certain dates and times so set your clock carfully.
THE ICONs
the very first icon is the health icon. choose this to check you tamas health,age,gen etc.
the second icon is the food icon. choose this icon to feed your tama when its hungry or needs a snack.
the 3rd icon is the toilet icon choose this when you tama goes to the bathroom or when you tama needs to.(when you tama needs to go to the bathroom squigly lines will appear beside him then select the toilet icon to let him go to the washroom.
the 4th icon is the games\shop and items icon. choose this icon to play some games or check you items or go to the shop.
the 5th icon is the communication icon.choose this icon to communicate with another tama!
the 6th icon is the disciplen icon. use this icon when your tama beebs for no reason or is crying(when tama beeps for no reason give it a timeout and when your tama is crying or is in a bad mood praise it).
the 7th icon is the medicine icon.only choose this icon if your tama is sick or has a toothace
the 8th icon is the lights icon.choose this icon to turn off the lights when you tama is sleeping.(when the lights are off to turn them on again just click on instead of off on the lighjts icon).
the 9th icon is the friends list and presents. this iscon is for wraping presents to give to friends or checking you frendship level with onother tama.
the 10th icon is the attention icon. this icon will light up when you tama needs somthing.
2. CARING FOR YOU TAMAGOTCHI
tamas need to be cared for, loved and need some attention.
to care for you tama it is pretty straight-forward. all you need to do is feed it when it is hungary play games with it praise it when it is sad and make lots of tama friends!
the #1 rule for caring for you tama is feeding it.This is also pretty straight-forward. ok when your tamagotchies health hearts(the heart things that you see first when you choose the health icon) go down for ex.when you check you tama and you have full hearts(when full they are black) and you check you tamas health again and one of the hearts are white, this means that you tama needs somthing. when one of the hearts of the bottom row of hearts is white quickly refill it by giving it a snack. when one of the top rows hearts turn white give you tama a meal.
when you tamagotchi is in a bad mood(when your tama has its back turned to you) you should praise you tama.this will make him happy.also when you tama is crying give him a praise.he will be happy to.BUT when your tama beeps for now reason give him a time out. this is the only way for your tama to learn what is right and what is wrong.
another thing that is very important is your tamas weight.(you can check you tamas weight at the health icon). if your tama is high in weight you should play a lots of games with it to get its weight back to normal.
#3 THE GAMESGUIDE AND SHOP
when you choose the games and shop icon you can play many different games with your tama. You can also buy many different items at the shop for many different prices.
THE GAMES:
there are many different games to play. there is a total of 4 single player games. they are Jump,Bump,Heading, and Slot. jump is the only game babies can play,bump and jump are the only games that kids can play, jump,bump and heading are the only games that teenagers can play and adults can play all 3 games plus a 4th game called slot.
this is how you play the games.
JUMP: when you press the jump game button you will see you tama running in one spot getting ready to jump.you will also see 3 little squares at the top of the screen. press the corisponding button that matches the square at the top of the screen. to get alot of points
try to make matches with all three squares.(fast refexes needed)
BUMP:when you first click the bump game icon your tama will be seen matching up with another tama getting ready to bump it.when you hear a series of beeps press the B button as many times as you can to see how much power you got.the more the better!(power lv. will be shown in a line when the beeping stops).
HEADING: when you see your tama in the middle of the screen and you see the ball come down quickly,as fast as you can get under the ball be pressing A and C, press
B when your under the ball to bump it.
SLOT: ok this game can be tricky.Great if you have good luck. the way to play this is you bet a number of points 1-9. and when you see you tama moving fast wish for luck and press b 3 times and see what you got.
if you got XXX you lose the number of points you betted if you get a O the number of points bet is doubled 3 times and if you get a triangle the number of points you betted is doubled once.
but if you get OOO then the number of points you bet is x100.

THE SHOP
the shop is the tamagotchi market. you can buy many things for your tamagotchi at the shop.buy items at the shop for you tama to make him happy.NOTE: if you buy somthimng that your tama dislikes he will eat it but will show a sign of dislike. same if you buy the action figure for a girl and the teddy bear for the boy they will not use it.
the shop resets all its items at 3:00 and 7:00.so to reset it set the time to 2:59pm and wait one minute or set the time to 6:59.
ITEMs:this is just a short walkthrought about what you can do with items.
you can hold over 99 items in your enventory. when you buy items for you tama at the shop for your tama all the things that are toys and not food are help in the items part of the games icon. food is help in the food icon under treats.NOTE: some items only adults can use so if you buy one thas for an adult you might have a bit of waiting to do before you can use it).
CONNECTING
when you choose the infa-red communication icon you can connect with another tamagotchi and challenge them to a game or simply give them a present.althought connecting can also be very useful because the more you connect with another tama the more youyr friendship lv will go up and if you are an adult and you have a full friendship lv with another adult of the opposit gender you can have a baby.connecting is easy all you have to do is choose the conection icon then choose the version you want to play in NOTE: if you are conecting with a v1 tama and yours is a v2, you must go to v1. after you have chosen the version you are playing in it will say game or present. (unless you are in v1 where it chooses for you) choose which one you want to do and if your tama will jump up along with the other tamagotchi and the game begins.If you do present your will either jump up to go to the other tama or move to the left corner of the screen to await the other tamas arrival.connecting is pretty basic and i hope i helped you learn how to do it.
