All right, I am very, very slow on the uptake. I got my Tamagotchi Connection on Sunday, January 9th (this past one). I am kinda still figuring out how anything works...I feel kinda dumb asking all these questions, but...

1. What does the "species" or "style" mean?

2. How can you tell what "species" or "style" you have?

3. What is "debugging"?

4. Who is the matchmaker? (I know its a woman, an old woman, but thats about all I know)

5. My tama is changing stages VERY quickly (as in, one day its an infant, three hours later its a child/toddler, the next day its a teenager)...all my friends' tamagotchis took about 3 days to change...is it bad that everything is changing soo quickly?

6. When should you put it in time out? (I read something about this here, but I didn't really understand it).

And also, my friend needs to know:

7. It says in the Tamagotchi Connection directions thing that comes with it that a year = 1 day our time. Mine changes years about once every 2 or 3 days. What's wrong with it?

8. What's up with the secret species and stuff?

I'm really sorry to ask soo many questions...*blush* Can you tell I'm new? ^_^

Nevermind on the questions concerning species...I figured it out by "Fafvorite Teenager" where it said the names...mines a strawberry, I need to write down the type ^_^

1. Species is the type of tamagotchi pet you get.

2. There is a growth chart that will tell you on the navigation chart here or at tamagotchi.comm

3. Debugging is when you rub a pencil over a spot inside your tama to make it so you can choose the charater you want. It is NOT recommended and many people have broken their tamagotchis this way and can't use them any longer.

4. Matchmaker will show up when your tamagotchi is about 6 or 7 and she will bring another tamagotchi with her. You can choose love and your tamagotchi will breed with the one she brought and you will get a baby tama to carry on your tamagotchis generations.

5. No, your tamagotchi is normal. Mine changes to toddler after one hour, teenager the next day and adult later....about day 3.

6. Time out when your tama beeps but there are no TOTALLY empty heart containers on your tama. Also, you need to praise it when it turns its back to you and looks mad. It will beep when it needs praise and/or discipline.

7. That is normal. They are just refering to the age or your tamagotchi. This has nothing to do with when your tama changes forms or "evolves"

8. secret ones come every now and then and people are really excited when you get one. The tamagotchi pet you get depends on how well you take care on your pet while it is in the different stages of its life.

Well, that's about it. I really hope this helps you out!!

Also, it is not called a strawberry....it's called a itchigotchi. There are real names for them and they can be found at www.tamagotchi.com

Thanks so much! Where would I be without this?? LOL! Thanks again!

Oh yeah...and I knew that they HAD names...I just couldn't remember it.

:blushes: Sorry. Oh...and also...what is the "base" weight? I keep hearing those words and its confusing me.

Base weight is the least weight a tama can weigh. Usually 10lbs for a toddler, 20 for a teen, and 30 for an adult but these may vary a little. Once, my teen only weighed 15. But after the base weight, you can't lose anymore weight.
