theres no definate way to get a girl/boy i tried the whole "button trick" i pressed "A" on my purple one and "B" on my pink one and i got 2 girls i always seem to get girls i think its like a random thing, either that or like depending on what color you have (tama shell) like i got pink and purple those are more less girl colors. then i have a white one i just got about a week ago it was a boy and white is a neutral/more boy color so i may have better luck geting boys on it. So it could be a number of factors just keep trying and one day you may get one.
