Version 3's can be debugged in the same way that version 1's and 2's can, with all the stuff you get from debugging (hyperspeed, choose character, etc.).
BUT:
If you debug your v3, you will NOT be able to enter any more passwords, or enter a username if you reset your tama.
I found this out when I debugged my v3, but I have un-debugged it so I can use the TamaTown passwords.
