i had my tama on pause in soc class and i went to check it and it was unpaused becasue it turned into a teen. does this always happen or did i unpause it on acciedent?

 
when its on pause, nothing is supposed to happen. You probaly pressed a button by mistake and it unpaused and your tamagotchi turned to a teen before you noticed.

 
Yeh pause pauses time itself on the tamagotchi so it cannot evolve or any other event because nothing is happening or able to happen
