Now this isn't to do with the tamagotchi pet itelf but with the actual tamagotchi.

Let me start from the beginning, I opened up both backs of my tama to see if it could be debugged, which it couldn't, so a put the backs but I didn't srew on the 2nd back properly, so it went all glitchy, I screwed on the back again so it was tight and put in a new battery, but it keeps on saying its got no battery and the screen goes blank, its not the battery I know that because I tried out the battery on my other tamagotchi and it worked perfectly!

Can some one tell whats wrong and how I can sort it out if you understand what my problem is.

Regards,

TC

Sometimes it's because you have the wrong battery, usually it's too thin. FOR ANYONE WHO'S READING THIS, THE BEST BATTERY FOR A TAMAGOTCHI IS THOSE THIN BATTERIES AND THE TYPE IS 2032. OK? SO THOSE ARE THE ONES YOU SHOULD BUY, NOT 2016, OR 2024 BECAUSE THE BATTERY WILL RUN OUT QUICKER AND SOMETIMES IT WILL NOT WORK BECAUSE IT IS TOO THIN. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE BATTERY PM ME. THE ACTUAL BATTERY THAT COMES WITH A TAMAGOTCHI IS THE 2032.

(sorry for the caps)

I do have CR2032 battery which the tama says it takes, but I have made a few adjustments to it, and I think its working ok, but still post suggestion of what 2 do.

Regards

TC

RISTAR SEZ: ALWAYS USE A CR2032 CELL BATTERY ON THE TAMAGOTCHI. ANY OTHER BATTERY MAY DAMAGE THE UNIT.

It even says in the manual to use CR2032 batteries in the Tamagotchi unit. You don't want to break it, do you?

Lithium CR2032 batteries last for about a year, those would probably solve the problem.

I have Lithium CR2032 batteries in all my Tamagotchis, but Lithium batteries are more expensive.

When you hit reset, the screen goes blank till you release you pen, paperclip, bobbypin, ect.Your reset button probaly got jammed. :)

Maybe you need to push a little the battery :mametchi: That happened to me!

Once, I opened my V2 tama for debugging, when I closed it some pixels of the screen didnt work! Then I opened my V1 tama, taked the screen, I puted the V1 screen in my v2 and... guess what... It worked! :hitodetchi:  Im so proud!
