This guide is half a chapter from the book 'The official tamagotchi pet care guide and record book' If you have the book and are not sure how to care for your Tamagotchi, read pages 15 - 31. The chapter I'm putting on here is:

A = left button
B = middle button
C = right button
Greetings, Tamagotchi
Your big moment is almost here - the birth of your Tamagotchi! To wake up your pet, you have to do three things. First, pull on the paper tab sticking out. Next, press the Reset button on the back of the egg. And last, get your pet going on Earth time by setting the timer screen. It's easy. First, press Button B to bring up the timer screen. Now use the A button to set the hours, the B button for the minutes. Press the C button once the correct time is set. Okay, now for that last crucial step. Ready? Return to the main screen by pressing the B button. Voila! Your cute pulsating egg is now on screen. Yeah!! Youy are just about ready to become a parent, which will happen in about five minutes. And remember, your life will never be the same again. good luck!
